Our Home

We employ over 7800 people. They are our biggest asset and we aim to keep it that way. We create a sustainable and safe work environment for them where everyone can grow and feels comfortable. We also aim to be a good neighbour for the communities around our production sites.

Zero-harm company. Safe employees.

The health and safety of our employees always comes first. Our goal? To be a zero-harm company with a positive culture. An organisation where everyone looks out for each other and where safety is ingrained in all our activities. To make this happen, we developed and launched our internal zero-harm programme in 2019. With success. Our accident rate has decreased five years in a row!

Well-being on the work floor. And off.

Well-being on the work floor is important. Because how we feel at work not only has an impact on our motivation and commitment but also on our ability to innovate. That is why we invest both in collective and individual initiatives on vitality and health, mental well-being, connection, leisure and the development of our employees.

Engaging employee experience.

The growth of our employees drives the growth of our company. From recruitment and onboarding to ongoing career development, we aim to provide an engaging experience that supports personal and professional growth. We also focus on strong leadership, making sure that every manager fosters a culture that’s open, dynamic, and driven by our values.

When it comes to their personal development, our employees are in the driving seat. Regardless of whether they want to specialise or broaden their knowledge, aspire to a leading position or want to grow in their current role. That is why helping our own people grow in-house is an essential aspect of our talent management.

Under the motto ‘training is the new recruiting’ we also invest in training programmes for people who have the motivation but not yet the right skills for the job.

In The Dive - our vision on lifelong learning - we explore this in depth.

A good neighbour. Building trust.

We build trust by talking openly with the local communities around our locations. We listen to concerns and take action to reduce the impact of our activities. We keep communication open, both through formal channels and more informal ones. This allows us to respond quickly and work on solutions when needed. Our goal is to address concerns early and be a good neighbor to the communities near our sites.

A partner for local community life.

We happily support local sports and community life near our productions sites. By sponsoring events, partnering with local organisations, and encouraging employee involvement, we help create vibrant neighborhoods. For example, we've been a proud sponsor for many years of the Unilin KSCW Youth Academy in Wielsbeke. This partnership is meaningful as Wielsbeke is home to several of our sites. Through our support, we help young players grow in a positive, healthy environment and strengthen our connection to the community.

A responsible supply chain

Our commitment to sustainability extends from our own activities but also throughout our supply chain, guided by our policies on human rights, ethics and environment that set clear expectations.

In case of concerns regarding our activities or those in our supply chain, internal and external stakeholders are invited to contact us so we can address these.

Concerns can be reported either directly via our managers or online through our contact form, or indirectly and anonymously via the international ethics hotline of our parent company Mohawk Industries. The hotline can be contacted either by mailing ethics_hotline@mohawkind.com or by calling +1 (706) 624-2004 or +1 (888) 566-4295.
